Applications are invited for Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist in CDSCO | 14 Posts

Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, Under the Drug and Cosmetics Act, the regulation of manufacture, sale and distribution of Drugs is primarily the concern of the State authorities while the Central Authorities are responsible for approval of New Drugs, Clinical Trials in the country, laying down the standards for Drugs, control over the quality of imported Drugs, coordination of the activities of State Drug Control Organisations and providing expert advice with a view of bring about the uniformity in the enforcement of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

Applications are invited from suitable and eligible candidates against 14 Nos. of contractual positions of Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist having MD Degree in Pharmacology and also having at least 05 years of experience m relevant field. These positions have been sanctioned for handling the following types of work in CDSCO

Post: Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist

(i) Examination of Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) and compensation,
(ii) Clinical Trial Inspections;
(iii) Ethics Committee Registration
(iv) Parliament Standing Committee related activities through NDACs;
(v) Examination of post marketing surveillance (PMS)/Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSUR) and Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI)
(vi) Any other items of work assigned by DCG(I) or the officers authonzed by him.

2. These positions will be initially for 06 months but the same may be extended from time to time as per exigency.

3. The persons selected will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs. 80,000/- per month as remuneration from which TDS etc. as applicable will be deducted.
