Defence Research Laboratory is looking for meritorious young researchers as Junior Research Fellow - M. Pharma

Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), Tezpur, under the aegis of Defence Research and development Organisation (DRDO) is engaged in R & D work in the field of management of vectors and vector-borne diseases, biodegradation of organic waste, biotechnology, water quality improvement and utilization of natural resources of northeast India.

DRL is looking for meritorious young researchers having their own fellowship from CSIR/UGC/DST/ICMR/ICAR/any other govt agency for pursuing research in the frontier areas at DRL. Applications are invited from deserving Indian nationals who are creative, have passion and desire to pursue R&D in frontier areas.

(Maximum tenure Five Years: 2yrs as JRF and 3 Years as SRF(as per rules of funding agency)

Essential Qualification: a.) A First Class master’s degree in Biological sciences/ Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Entomology
b.) Candidate must have a valid junior research fellowship from CSIR/UGC/DST/ICMR/ICAR/any other govt agency

Age Limit: 28 Yrs

General conditions:
a) Application form can be downloaded from the website www.drdo.gov.in. Duly Filled-in application form must be sent to “Director, Defence Research Laboratory, Solmara cantt, Tezpur-784001” through speed post only. The last date of receipt of application at DRL is 18 April  2014. Applications received after due date, for whatsoever reasons, shall not be entertained.
b) Candidate must enclose attested copies of all the certificates/testimonials/valid proof of fellowship from the funding agency, with the application form.
c) Candidate having a valid junior research fellowship from CSIR/UGC/DST/ICMR/ICAR/ any other govt agency only needs to apply.
d) The upper age limit is as on the last date for receipt of application (5years relaxation to SC/ST candidates 3 years to OBC candidates and other entitled categories as per Govt rules).
e) Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
