University of Jammu, School of Biotechnology is requires Research Associate (RA), Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Technical Assistant (TA) and Field Assistant (FA) in various research projects funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt, of India. The posts for a period of one year, extendable and co-terminus with the projects.

Age Limit: JRF - 28 Years; RA - 35 years respectively as on the day on which the applications are made. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes, women, physically handicapped and OBC applicants.

Educational Qualifications:

RA -> M.Sc. Biotechnology / Biochemistry with at least 55% marks and Ph.D Biotechnology/    Biochemistry. Candidate must have experience of working in Plant Molecular Biology. Functional Genomics approaches in understanding the regulation of flowering and synthesis, and accumulation of apocarotenoids in saffron crocus (Crocus sativus L.)

JRF -> M.Sc. Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ with at least 55% marks. Candidate having NET/ Experience in Plant Molecular Biology will be preferred.

TA -> B.Sc. with at least 55% marks. M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences will be preferred Creating a Genomics Platform for Apple Research in India.

TA -> B.Sc. or M.Sc. with at least 55% marks.

FA -> 10+2 in science subjects with at least 55% marks.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be informed about the date of interview. All applicants are required to bring their original documents on the date of interview. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
