Vacancies for M. Pharm/M.Sc candidates in National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health - 3 posts

National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is situated in the vicinity of a number of hospitals and research institutes in central Mumbai. Since its inception in 1970, it has been making vigorous efforts to improve the reproductive health of people through research, education and health care services.

Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 10-09-2014 between 09:00 hrs. and 12:00 hrs. for the following vacancies under Non-Institutional ad-hoc projects.

Post:  Junior  Research Fellow

Title of projects: 1. Development of Scylla serrata anti-Lipopolysacharide Factor-24, (SsALF24) as safe vaginal microbicide.

Junior Research Fellow  (JRF)
No. of post: One
Stipend:  Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.
OR
Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
Essential qualification:  M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology M.Pharma from recognized university and NET qualified
or
Post graduate degree in biological sciences and NET qualified for lectureship.
Desirable: Experience in Molecular Biology / Microbiology / Toxicology Techniques  and handling of laboratory animals.
Age Limit: N28 Years
Duration:  One year

Title of projects: 2. In-silico molecular design of anti-hiv microbicides and pre-clinical evaluation.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of post: Two
Stipend:  Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.
OR
Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
Essential qualification:  M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology from recognized university and NET qualified
or
Post graduate degree in biological sciences and NET qualified for lectureship.
Desirable: Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in cell culture and molecular biology technique will be preferred.
Age Limit: 28 Years
Duration:  One year

Title of projects: 3. Targeted biofilm control: implications for the prevention of recurrent bacterial vaginosis.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of post: One
Stipend:  Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.
OR
Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
Essential qualification:  M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology from recognized university and NET qualified
or
Post graduate degree in biological sciences and NET qualified for lectureship.
Desirable: Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in  microbiology and molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
Age Limit: 28 Years
Duration:  One year & 10 months

Title of projects: 4. Studies on HIV-1 gp120 Mediated α4ß7 integrin dependent signaling in T cells and its role in HIV-1 pathogenesis.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of post: One
Stipend:  Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.
OR
Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
Essential qualification:  M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology from recognized university and NET qualified
or
Post graduate degree in biological sciences and NET qualified for lectureship.

Duration:  One year & 04 months

1. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per the government rules.
2. Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
6. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible

Candidates must bring along with them all the relevant documents in original and one set of attested photocopies of the same and one passport size recent colour photograph.
