Application are invited for DST/SERB Major Research Project as Research / Project Fellow in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University

The University has to serve the need of the whole Marathwada region with a common historical and cultural. The name of city however illustrious cannot be exercise the same spell upon the imagination of the Marathwada People. The name of the University must be such that it will make an emotional appeal to the heart and minds of the people. The name Marathwada has that advantage, therefore it was named as “Marathwada University” on 14th January 1994 the University was renamed “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University” to pay homage to work done by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for the educational development of Marathwada region. The University Campus covers an area of more then 650 Acres of land. The main approach road is from the south, which is about a mile and a quarter in length. 

Applications are invited for Two posts of Research/Project Fellows under the DST/SERB Major Research Project entitled "Impairment in reproductive behaviour in fresh water fishes due to heavy metal pollution in Maharashtra" sanctioned by DST/SERB, New Delhi to Dr. Y. K. Khillare, Professor & Head, Department of Zoology of this University.

Post: Research / Project Fellow

No. of post: Two

Qualification: M.Sc. Biochemistry or Organic Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Pharmacy or Zoology with CSIR-UGC NET Passed And Experience in one or more of the below:
1.Fresh water fishes collection
2.Handling of AA and biological sample for analysis.
3. Behaviour of fishes
4.Knowledge of metal pollution. If NET passed candidate is not available, the candidate will be appointed as Project Fellow.

Amount: Initially Rs.12000/- p.m. for a period of two years & Rs. 14000/- for subsequent years.

Duration: Four years or till the end of the project whichever is earlier.

1] Candidates are requested to bring all original documents regarding educational qualifications date of birth etc.
2] No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.

Eligible candidates may attend the interview with the detail Bio-Data on 24-02-2014 at 12.00 noon in the Department of zoology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.
