Walk in Interview for the post of JRF/ Project Assistant in DBT project at MDU

Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976  with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.

Post: Junior Research Fellow, Project Assistant

A Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Assistant is to be recruited in DBT sponsored Bioinformatics facility project. The work will pertain to 'Development of Malaria transmission blocking vaccine'. Interested candidate may send their Bio-Data to undersigned by post latest by 21-04-2014 to 'Office, Centre for Medical Biotechnology, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak'.

Essential qualification: M.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Microbiology or any branch of Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH). The candidate having experience in virus handling will be preferred.

Fellowship amount: as per DBT rules. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview. The post is purely temporary and is coterminous with the project.
