Opening for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi

Applications on prescribed form are invited for filling up the following positions in the various departments of the university. Eligible candidates may apply on or before June 16, 2014 (Monday).

1.      Associate Professor (Pharmaceutics)  -  One
Essential Qualification: A basic degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharma) Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments.
GATE/GPAT Qualified with a Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutics, and experience of eight years in teaching, research, industry and / or profession at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade; excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree.
A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based performance based Performance Based Appraisal system (PBAS), as per UGC guidelines.
Desirable: Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; Published work, such as research papers, patent filed / obtained, books and / or technical reports; and Experience of guiding the project work, dissertation of post graduate or research students or supervising R & D projects in industry.
Preference will be given to Candidates with Good Research Experience in Molecular Pharmaceutics, Molecular Biology

2.      Assistant Professor (Pharmaceutics)  - One

Essential Qualification: A basic degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharma) Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments.

GATE/GPAT Qualified with First Class Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutics.

Desirable: Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; and Preference will be given to Candidates with PhD in Pharmaceutics, Two Years Research experience in National/International reputed Lab excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree and Publications in refereed Journals.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.      The university reserves the right not to fill-up the vacancy if the circumstances so warrant and to call only short-listed candidates for test/ interview.
2.      The university reserves the right to consider the name(s) of suitable candidates who may not have applied and also to relax the qualification and experience for deserving candidates, as approved by the Selection Committee.
3.      Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, degrees and certificate etc. for verification.
4.      Applications complete in all respects should reach to the Office of the Registrar, Establishment Section, Jamia Hamdard, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi – 110 062 latest by June 16, 2014 (Monday) along with the following:
·         Bio-data (highlighting personal details, academic records, teaching and research experience).
·         Attested copies of certificates & testimonials in support of qualification and experience.
·         Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- for the posts of Professor/COE and Director and Rs. 300/- for rest of the post in favour of Registrar, Jamia Hamdard payable at New Delhi.
·         Duly typed Annexure- A available with the application form.
·         Duly filled in Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) proforma as per the UGC guidelines in Appendix III for the post of Professor, Advisor, Director and Associate Professor.
