Qualifications: Location: Bangalore, India Education/Experience: Ph.D. in organic chemistry or, a Ph.D. in chemical engineering with an M.S. or equivalent degree in organic chemistry; at least 5 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a Process Development department. Expertise in process development, process safety, and scale-up to glass plant and pilot plant facilities. Expertise in cGMP. Working knowledge of formulation and analytical sciences and integrated Pharmaceutical Development, with the ability to manage the interfaces at both a strategic and tactical level. Up-to-date knowledge of worldwide regulatory affairs and emerging guidance and issues. Working knowledge of the API and intermediate outsourcing arena. Ability to manage, interface, and integrate with an array of external partners. Knowledge of the Drug Discovery process as it relates to Pharmaceutical Development and ability to manage the interface at a strategic level.
