Online applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for filling up the applications is 01.10.2014. Candidates should carefully read the “Instructions” available on Commission’s website before filling the application online.
2. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, this requirement can be relaxed.
3. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.

DIRECTORATE OF FOOD & DRUGS ADMINISTRATION

Drugs Inspector

No. of post: 4 posts (1 reserved for OBC, 1 reserved for ST)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/-
Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicines with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from an University established in India by Law. (ii) Not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945
OR
(ii) Not less than 18 months experience in testing at least one of the substances specified in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945
OR
(ii) Not less than three years experience in the inspection of firms manufacturing any of the substances in schedule C and/or schedule C1 to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rule, 1945, during the tenure of his service as a Drugs Inspector.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Educational & Other Qualifications:
Essential: (i) Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University.
(ii) 3 years experience in the manufacturing or testing of drugs and Cosmetics
Act and Rules made thereunder and standardization of Drugs.
(iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
